Support for Children with Anxiety, EBSA, OCD and Tics

Every child and family is different.
Some children need a safe space to explore their feelings.
Some parents need guidance on how best to support their child.
Some families need help communicating their child’s needs to school.
I offer a range of support options, and we can think together about what feels right for your family.

Not Sure Where to Start?
You don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out.
Many parents come to me feeling unsure which option is right—and that’s completely okay.
We can begin with a conversation and think together about what will best support your child.

Online therapy for children and young people

Online therapy can be a gentle and effective way to support children—especially if they are feeling too anxious to attend in person, or if you are based further away.
Many children feel more comfortable being in their own familiar environment, which can help them open up more easily.

Can online therapy really work for children?
Yes—online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions.
Children are naturally adaptable and often engage well through:
-
Creative activities
-
Games and interaction
-
Talking at their own pace

Keeping therapy creative and engaging
Creativity remains at the heart of the work, even online.
To support this, I send out a connection kit to your child, which may include:
-
Creative materials
-
Simple therapeutic tools
-
Resources to support engagement between sessions
This helps sessions feel more interactive, familiar and connected.
A flexible and supportive option
Online therapy can be particularly helpful for:
-
Children who feel anxious about leaving home
-
Those experiencing school anxiety or EBSA
-
Families who are not local to Cornwall or West Berkshire
-
Busy family schedules

A gentle starting point
For some children, online sessions can be a helpful first step—building confidence before moving to face-to-face support if needed.
If you’re unsure whether online therapy would suit your child, we can talk this through together.
