About The Little Bird House
The Little Bird House is a safe, gentle and creative space where children and young people can feel at ease, and begin to make sense of their emotions and experiences.
It’s a place where children can connect, express themselves and feel understood—at their own pace.
Our spaces
The Little Bird House has two bases:
-
Porthtowan, Cornwall
-
Near Pangbourne, West Berkshire
I am primarily based in Cornwall, where sessions take place in a bright, comfortable and welcoming therapy room.
Children are supported to express themselves in ways that feel natural to them, with access to:
-
Art materials
-
Toys and books
-
Creative resources such as slime and clay
During school hours, there may be the gentle, happy background noise of younger children in the building, which many children find reassuring and familiar.
Cornwall location (Porthtowan)
The therapy space is based upstairs within Porthtowan Village Hall.
-
Accessible entrance to the building
-
Accessible toilet and blue badge parking available
-
Stair lift access to the therapy room
If your child would benefit from a fully ground-floor space, a downstairs room can be arranged—please let me know and I will ensure this is in place.
West Berkshire location
The therapy space in West Berkshire is:
-
Ground floor
-
Fully accessible
A gentle, supportive environment
Above all, The Little Bird House is designed to feel calm, safe and welcoming.
A space where children don’t have to “get it right”—but can simply be themselves, while feeling supported through whatever they are finding difficult.
